Graphic Designer


Xavier Hufkens is looking for a creative digital professional to play a significant role in the gallery’s visual communication. The ideal candidate is a technically skilled designer with experience in both web and print. This person should be comfortable multi-tasking, able to maintain high attention to detail, and be resourceful.

Job description :

  • implement and develop the gallery’s visual identity both online and offline
  • lay out and produce printed matter for exhibitions, fairs and general operations
  • manage the gallery’s website and online presence across multiple platforms
  • create digital assets to our communication and sales teams
  • organise on and off-site documentation sessions
  • review commissioned photography and video material, adjust if not up to par with gallery’s standards
  • distribute visual content throughout the gallery’s database and sales tools
  • work with our team on tasks related to archiving and publications
  • provide occasional technical support to the gallery’s staff

Your profile :

  • proven ability to embody brand guidelines to create cohesive multi-channel visual assets
  • expert proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite, most notably Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator and Premiere Pro
  • experience in producing printed matter
  • understanding of html, css and JavaScript
  • awareness of best practice in seo, email marketing and web accessibility standards
  • excellent knowledge of macOS and latest developments in digital technology
  • fluent oral and written communication skills (EN)
  • an affinity with contemporary art, a keen eye for typographical precision and a fondness for both analytical and creative problem-solving
  • highly meticulous and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment

We offer a contract for indefinite duration. Position hours are Tuesday to Saturday, 10am to 6pm. Candidate will occasionally need to work additional hours. Please send your resume and cover letter to before July 1st, 2021.
