Constantin Nitsche in conversation with Anaël Pigeat

Constantin Nitsche and Anaël Pigeat discuss the artist's latest exhibition at the gallery, Oranges et Lavande (2023).

“I used to have a very strict palette of blue and red. That feels like very long ago now. It changed so much when I moved to Marseille. I never liked purple before and I was struggling with orange, and now… that’s the title of the show.”

Anaël Pigeat is an art critic and journalist, a graduate of the Courtauld Institute. She was editor-in-chief of Art Press magazine between 2011 and 2018. She then joined the team of the monthly The Art Newspaper France as editor-at-large, and contributes to the culture pages of Paris Match. She was one of the speakers of La Dispute on France Culture, from 2014 to 2020. She regularly hosts Masterclasses on France Culture, as well as series on the program À Voix Nue. She created, produces and hosts the podcast Phonomaton since 2020.
