Lesley Vance Lesley Vance
Lesley Vance returns to Xavier Hufkens with her largest gallery exhibition to date – and her most expansive presentation in Europe. Bringing together a significant new body of paintings and works on paper across a range of scales, Vance continues to explore the expressive possibilities of abstraction through fluid forms, luminous colour and a finely tuned interplay between improvisation and control.

Lesley Vance (b. 1977, Milwaukee, WI, USA) lives and works in Los Angeles. Her work is held in major public collections: San Francisco Museum of Modern Art, San Francisco; Metropolitan Museum of Art, New York; Dallas Museum of Art, Dallas; Milwaukee Art Museum, Milwaukee; Museum of Contemporary Art, Los Angeles; The Museum of Modern Art, New York; Los Angeles County Museum, Los Angeles; Walker Art Center, Minneapolis; and The Whitney Museum of American Art, New York, among others.
