Museum SAN presents a new solo exhibition by Antony Gormley titled Drawing on Space, the largest show of the artist’s work in Korea to date. Featuring a selection of sculptures and works on paper, this presentation explores how sculpture can stimulate the mind, awaken the senses and heighten awareness. Viewers are invited to actively engage with the works and the surrounding space, creating a dynamic and immersive experience.

These investigations into the body and spatial awareness are reflected in Ground, a new permanent installation that responds to Tadao Ando's architecture, opening at the Museum concurrently to Drawing on Space. Designed as a cave facing northeast toward Wonju’s mountains, Ground features seven of Gormley’s ‘Blockworks’ sculptures within a 25-meter round chamber and the surrounding landscape. Natural elements like sunlight, wind and distant sounds blend with architecture and sculpture to form a dynamic environment.
