Xavier Hufkens is delighted to return to Art Basel Paris with a cross-generational presentation spanning painting, sculpture and works on paper. Bringing together works made between 1984 and 2026, the presentation moves between figuration and abstraction, with the body and material transformation recurring throughout.

Highlights include Alice Neel’s last important portrait, Ginny (1984), Sherrie Levine’s bronze Tattooed Body Mask (2020), Nicolas Party’s large-scale, three-part pastel Clouds (2022), and Tatiana Trouvé’s 3-metre-long Sitting Sculpture (2024). These are joined by Sterling Ruby’s new ceramic FLOWER (9203), Thomas Houseago’s Squatting man (2005), and recent paintings by Richard Aldrich, Charline von Heyl, Lesley Vance and Qiu Xiaofei. More intimate works by Louise Bourgeois and Nathanaëlle Herbelin introduce a further shift in scale and register.
Coinciding with the fair, Houseago and French artist Théo Mercier will present a major joint exhibition at Reiffers Art Center, culminating their collaboration through the 2026 Reiffers Initiatives mentorship programme. Elsewhere in Paris, Danh Vō will present three bronze sculptures at Rose Kitchen. Living mushrooms will grow from the works throughout the presentation, extending Vō’s longstanding interest in transformation and the evolving lives of objects.
