Tropaeolum

Danh Vo's stunning installation Tropaeolum has made its way to Stubbekøbing, coming directly from the prestigious Pinault Collection at the Bourse de Commerce in Paris, where it was the centerpiece of the Avant l'Orage (Before the Storm) exhibition in the spring of 2023.

The work features fallen oak trees from French state forests, felled by a storm. As in its display at the Bourse de Commerce, the logs either lie on the ground or lean against pavilion-like structures that seem to almost magically blend into the vast warehouse, part of the former industrial complex at Stubbekøbing Harbour.
