One year after its opening, Fondazione Giorgio Griffa in Turin presents D1 D5, a two-person exhibition featuring Giorgio Griffa (Turin, 1936) and British artist Simon Starling (Epsom, UK, 1967).
The five “D”s in the title refer to the five dialogues that structure the exhibition—dialogues that have emerged in some cases from collaborative projects and direct partnerships between the two artists, and in others from formal, material, and conceptual affinities that open up new avenues for comparison and suggest unexplored directions for inquiry.
