Louise Bourgeois in Le Musée sentimental d’Eva Aeppli

This first retrospective devoted to Swiss sculptor Eva Aeppli (1925-2015) to take place in France invites viewers to discover the gestation of her sewn work, the apogee of her art. In her "sentimental museum", like the one created by Daniel Spoerri at the Center Pompidou in 1977, her works dialogue with those of her close circle, her fantasized influences but also her successors.The exhibition includes works by, among others, Jean Tinguely, Niki de Saint Phalle, Louise Bourgeois, Annette Messager and Sarah Lucas, underlining how much Aeppli’s art continues to exert a significant influence on the contemporary scene.
