Robert Mapplethorpe: Le forme della bellezza is the final chapter of a major exhibition project that started with Le forme del classico at the Stanze della Fotografia in Venice; and was followed by Le forme del desiderio at the Palazzo Reale in Milan.
This exhibition hosted by the museum of Ara Pacis in Rome, displays approximately 200 photographs which explore the concept of beauty as absolute perfection and formal rigor. It stands out for its series of previously unseen contents, focuses on the search for pure form, where the human body, faces, and still lifes are treated with the same obsessive attention to light and geometry.
